Spitfire XIV & V-1 1:48 Academy & Revell

December 13, 2012 · in Aviation · · 7 · 3.1K

This model is made quite spontaneously, just a box in the closet lying too long))). All will recall product from the Frog - -14 and V-1, in the 72nd scale? So, I wanted to do something similar.

Spitfire asked some of my alterations, I put the resin nose and propeller blades from Quikboost, vacuum canopy from Squadron, well, figure pilot compilation of several figures. The prototype aircraft chose squadron-leader N.Kynaston known that he had destroyed most V-1.

German wunderwaffe is a product from RevellMonogram, with it also a bit tricky. Homemade stand, legs bent from scraps telescopic antenna. That's basically all, I hope you enjoy the work.

  2. Another finalist for December's contest, in my opinion. Outstanding idea and well done. Very nice display, Maxim.

  3. Very nicely realized diorama. Excellent workmanship on both models, particularly the Spitfire - the pilot figure is really superb.

  4. Thanks a lot, guys!
By the way, I forgot about the pilot, I add photos.

  5. Wonderful display, Maxim. The models are just beautiful and the information on the base is a very nice touch. Every time I see footage of V-1 shootdowns and tip-overs the hair on the back of my neck stands up.

  6. Great idea that is very well executed all around.
Very good work on the pilot too.
