Hasegawa 1/48 N1K2-J Shiden Kai
Hasegawa's 1/48 N1K2-J shown here is the late-90s re-tool. Previously, the company had released their first 1/48 N1K2-J in the late 70s/early 80s with raised panel lines, about the same time as the 1/48 Kyushu Shinden.
This new-tool kit is a joy to build, with true fidelity to the real plane and exquisite detail. The parts fit isn't bad either! In the last five or six years, Hasegawa has also done the mid-wing "George" N1K1-J, which was previously only available from Tamiya, alongside the N1K1 floatplane "Rex" from which the land-based interceptors were originally based.
This Shiden Kai is from the 343rd Flying Group, home defense 1945. The Shiden Kai gave Hellcats a run for their money late in the war.
You do nice, clean work. Hope you keep 'em dust-free - lol
And another "10" having held this baby in my hand while helping you put them away last month, sir.
