Vickers Crossley armored car
Hello, for my first article I present the Pit Road Vickers Crossely 1/35 scale armored car. Acquired from Hobby Link Japan just before Christmas this was a nice easy build. All the parts were well fitting and parts count low, a pleasure of a build. Hunbrol and Model Master enamels were used, weathering kept to a dusting as this was used mainly in the City of Shanghai in the 1930's, supporting Japanese Navy Landing Force troops. Always thought this was a neat looking vehicle, love the cartoon turret.
Another Kool Koppos Kit project. Looks good Bill.
Thanks Tomas. And thanks for clueing me in to this site.
Great to see you here, Bill! Lovely work on this armored car, the weathering is sah-weet. I hope you'll post some of your wicked 1/32nd aircraft soon- especially your P-26 and Ki-44.
Sure will. Hope you're weathering well down there, and building more doubles.
Damn it Bill, now I'll have to go and buy myself one of these! 🙂 You don't see too many armoured car kits and you've done a great job on this one. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, yeah A/C's are cool. Still waiting for Roden's promised Rolls Royce 1914. And a Morman-Herrington.
I have to agree with Erik...the weathering job is spot-on.
Glad you think so. Not sure how the friend thing works, (not a facebook person) but I accepted yours. I think.
