Revell Martin Mariner, Convair Tradewind, Martin Seamaster (box scale)
From days long past…and reissued, (at least once), came these odd scaled, inexpensive little jewels. .I had already built the Tradewind, as a kid, and re-did it as part of a club project on resurrecting old models, I built a second one to complete this trio. All three were simple kits with few parts, but subjects I found interesting. The seaplanes represent the end of an era, and the models, the end of the box scale era (more or less) Although OOP, they can still be found thrrough various vendors at shows, at reasonable cost.

Thanks for sharing those old Revell kits…I built everyone of those years ago, and seeing them again brings back memories…mainly of BB guns and firecrackers! Simpler times and great fun back then….

Joe,
A good job on these old box scale little beauties. It does indeed bring back memories. You may already know it, a 1/72 PBM will be out very soon. I think from Academy.

I’m with Marvin on this, boy, do these bring back great memories! I still have all three, they somehow escaped the “great summer of 1966 turkey shoot” debacle. Thanks for sharing the photos and the memories they bring up, nice job.
