Speaking of the old ones…Aurora Breguet….
Back in the day (again?) Aurora's WW1 jobs were some of the better models out there. They were outstanding compared to say, the burgundy Messerchmitt or yellow Zero. I built almost all of them back then, and have a pile today, for nostalgia. My favorite is the Sopwith Triplane, what a box art. But they were all good weren't they?
Got this one, in a bag, for 5 bucks at a show, and decided to build it right out of the box (bag), just what they gave you, Even stayed "in the lines" of the old raised roundel areas. Here she is with her original groundcrew and grassy base. Note the ejector pin mark on one guy's back. And the fuselage decal, the cock, is original. Contact!

Built my share of these "back in the day" although never up to your standards. Don't even think they had paint on them.
Well done.

That's just great! Real nostalgic modeling there, I love it!

The cock's not inside the circle! That probably makes it more like what the one you did back in the day looked like. 🙂
Nice work on it.

Bill,
Brings back memories. At the time we thought these were the 'cats meow'. Actually some of these are still very good. Nice job on this. Love to see the old ones from time to time.

Looks very good. Something I never had the nerve to do, back in the day. It's really neat, bringing them back to life. Old models are still fun ! Way to go, Bill !
