1/24 Maisto Nissan 350Z & Motormax Chrysler Crossfire

October 2, 2013 · in Automotive · · 3 · 2.1K

Ever give thought to dolling up a die-cast or two? I repainted the Nissan 350Z, and eventually put on the BRE Datsun decals, as I always favored that paint job back in the day. The Chrysler Crossfire was supposed to be a sportscar, and I thought, "what would it look like if it raced in a production class?" While I don't consider these models, in the sense that they had to be built, I was able to use my limited modeling skills to turn them into something of my imagination. A lot of fun, with 1/3 the work.

  1. Well Joe, If you built them or not, they look good, it is the paint job that counts with die cast`s. A lot of them are sort of slap dash on a production line. It also gives you a personal touch as well.
    Nice one Joe.

  2. I quite like the Crossfire, Joe, but the Nissan looks a bit anaemic, maybe it could do with some Marlboro decals... like you say, lots of fun!

Joe, you dog! I thought you said you carved these out of cast blocks of metal colored them with Ritz dye!

Now you reveal the truth. I hope your conscience is now clear.

    😉 Nice work.
