Staghound Mk.III

August 22, 2014 · in Armor · · 12 · 3.1K

I'm not a real AFV fan, but sometimes it's very interesting to build some unusual (to me) model. This is an Italery kit in scale. Kit also contains metal barrel, etched parts - so it's a good start for OOB build and fun.

I've replaced all welds (sprue +extra thin cement), added headlights (Elf). All other parts - as is from the kit.

Painted (primary) with Vallejo acrylics, weathered with oils. Pigments - Vallejo, Tamiya and local Ukrainian brand Ho-Ma.

Thank you!

  1. Good-lookin' little build there...where'd ya get the lighter?

    • This is Zippo with custom laser engraving. My friend (a graphic designer) made this vector image for me and another friend found a company which makes engraving on various things - pens, usb flash sticks, etc.

  2. Dmitry , yet another fine model.
The subtle weathering stands out as well as a well built kit.
    Well done mate.

  5. Looks great Dmitry! And it's Canadian! Did the kit go together well? I have seen it, but have not purchased it and wondered how good the Italeri kit is.
