A-4B Skyhawk (Airfix 1/72)

June 18, 2015 · in Aviation · · 16 · 2.7K

Easy OOB build of a relatively new kit. I've only added Eduard PE parts for interior. There was some problem with air intakes, but not critical. Painted with Gunze acrylics.

Thank you for watching!

  7. Nicely built and painted/weathered!

  8. I've seen 48th scale examples not finished as well (mine leaps to mind) - well done, sir.

  9. Dimitry, lovely build, neat little airplane. Good old Ed Hieneman.

  10. Great job Dmitry!

  11. What a good looking plane the Skyhawk is, and, for some reason, it seems to be particularly suited to 1/72 scale. Yours is especially nicely finished, Dmitry, a pleasure to view.

  12. Question, if I may, about the side airbrakes.
Conventional wisdom says that the rear face of the airbrakes themselves are painted red.
What about the well? I've seen red, white, and the color of the aircraft.
    Same question: A-1, (E)A-6, A3.
I'm guessing there is no hard and fast answer, but I'm curious as to what the brotherhood thinks.
    Thanks, all answers gratefully accepted.

  13. Nice A-4 Dimitry, well done !
