Wellll... The main photo shows an aircraft that was 'commended'. There's great detailing overall, but the canopies look dull to me, and the cans could have been shade-modulated with different metallics for a sharper finish. I'm not being overly critical here - it's a nice looking model - but you can see the sort of nitpicking detail the judges have to engage in to get to the top three.
The Phantom took Bronze in its Class and got a separate category trophy as well, but the panel lines are heavily over-stated in my view.
Again, you could spend ages finding fault, but the overall impression of the Competition area was that it was a high standard and I think even though we all had our preferences (or not), we all took great pleasure just walking around and taking in the selections on show.
