Mobius 1/12 Mars Attacks Martian Warrior and unfortunate victim
Another of my “creepy, weird, some-what disturbing” figure kit builds. This is NOT based on the silly Tim Burton movie, but on the gruesome Topps trading cards from the late ’60’s. This thing was a hoot to work on. It’s not every day you go looking for Turquoise and Lime Green paints. I also tried detailing with transparent colours for the first time on his eyes. I think it worked great. The “unfortunate victim” may be a little over top, but I think it stays nicely within the slightly cartoony feel of this kit.

Never have done many figures in my modeling, but this one (especially that face), reminds me of another 60’s phenomena – Big Daddy Roth’s “Rat Fink” character….remember that?

Absolutely love it! Something different from all drab tanks and planes. As a matter of fact, I´m sitting right now with just about same colours but for some completely different type of model.
