Lockheed C 130 E Hercules, A97-178, 37 Sqn RAAF, Richmond NSW 1993.
1/72 Italeri, my third but not last C130, I moved the outer engines forward by 2mm to line up with the inner engines, modified the exhausts with plastic tube, added some antennae and navigation lights, finished in Model Master enamels, Aussie decals 50th anniversary of 37 Sqn and Future. Photo 5 shows fitting of wing spar, as I do with all my herc's.
Another gorgeous Hercules & a paint finish to die for!
Thanks Tony.
These models are terrific, Allan. What is the name for a collection of these? A host of Hercules or perhaps a herd of Hercules? Any ideas anyone?
Thanks George, host sounds better than herd.
Nicely done indeed...you do good work. Love to see your full display.
Thanks Craig, you shall see more as time allows.
The history of Herky birds, another fine job!
Thanks Robert, at least one more, a C130H to go.
Another beautiful Herc! I'm detecting a theme here...must be an Aussie!
Thanks Greg, yes what gave me away!
Great looking build Allan. You have done a marvelous job on this. Very interesting and eye catching paint scheme.
Thanks Terry, I liked the look of this aircraft when I saw it in a magazine, also looks good without the blue tail, but I like anniversary schemes.
Nice Herc!
Thanks Ray.
