Boeing 720, Pan Am ,Revell
What an airliner used to look like, Saved from the shelf of doom, this actually started out as a Revell E-3A AWAC from a 1980's kit, I had ideas of converting it to a tanker, this was before the current Minicraft and Roden kits. Its supposed to be a closer to 720 than a 707 or a E-3. I got as far as building it and priming. but then I lost interest.
Fast forward, Inspired by an old Bond movie,Where he arrives on a Pan Am flight, I decided to finish it using left over ATP Pan Am and micro scale window decals. The scale of the kit is supposedly closer to 1/139.
Can you tell us something about the model?
Older tech, rivets, needed a lot of filler.
That's a great looking model Robert. Nice save. I love your photo with the briefcase and the (spy) camera. Very cool.
California Steve
Thanks.That's actually folding binoculars.
Folding Binoculars? Right, (wink wink). I say a spy camera that looks like binoculars.
Steve
As in Secret Agent Man. the camera is in the case[new photo]
A good modeller needs no new tool super kit, looks fantastic.
Revell has released their Boeing 727, i am tempted to get me a copy.
Thanks,I'm working on an original issue of the 727, deciding on livery.
Can t wait to see it, Robert. Have some airliner on my bench as well, hope they will look half as good as yours
Nice looking Boeing, especially good looking with the Pam Am stickers.
Thanks all.
Very smart, straight out of a travel agent's window display.
That is seriously nice Robert! My first overseas flight was on a PamAm 707. Beautiful aircraft and you've done her proud!
Yes, nicely done Robert.
Beautiful job, Robert...nicely finished.
Very nice! I can just see James through one of the windows...(seems like he's engrossed in deep conversation with a stewardess, as one might expect!)
Maybe he's finally taking Money penny somewhere.
Nice job again.
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Just as clean as clean can be, love it Robert. The setting for these pictures are just great and speak well of your resourcefulness. Makes one go back to those times in an airport. Thanks for sharing the pictures, very nicely done.
