Eduard 1/48th Bf109E-3
Eduard's 1/48th Bf109E-3 built out of the box in the colors of Oblt. Josef Priller, Staffelkapitän B 6./JG 51, France, Autumn 1940. Paint is Mr. Color, decals and photoetch are from the kit.
I really enjoy Eduard's kits. They are reasonably priced, fit well, are very detailed and look the part when completed.
Oh thanks a lot, Frank...I've got the same kit (still in the box), and now it'll probably stay there after seeing yours. I'll never get it looking as good as this. 🙁
Seriously though, that's a fantastic looking job - outstanding build, sir!
Craig, you can paint it red, put a fake civil registration on it, and say it's a racer. There was at least one of them, I saw a profile. That Swiss race, tour of the alps, or something.
That's a nicely done 109 Frank. May have to get me one of those.
Great job.
Tom, if you can find the Eduard Weekend releases, they are quite the bargain. No photoetch, only one decal choice, neither a deal breaker. Choice of open or closed engine/cowl gun detail. Diorama in a box!
Beautifully made, like the unusual scheme. The yellow nose make me think of the boxart of Airfix´s old Bf 109 in 1/24.
Looks beautiful, Frank ! You have captured the special camo scheme very well.
Great looking 109. I love the yellow-nosed birds - kinda like flaunting their presence!
Thanks all for the kind comments!
Nice
