Telford 2016: New kit releases from Revell

November 12, 2016 · in News · · 12 · 6K

Revell presented their all-new 1/32 Messerschmitt Me 262B Night Fighter. The completed demonstration model looked really impressive, including things like open slats, detailed engine and gun bays as well as delicately moulded radar antennae.

Other new-tool kits presented by Revell are the cute 1/16 BMW Isetta, the 1/24 McLaren 570S and a brand-new 1/72 scale Spitfire Mk II. (The presentation model having a bit odd canopy)

  3. Neil, Jahwohl!
Finally, deployable L/E slots on an Me-262! Like the original!
Martin, thanks for posting this. Some nice choices.

  4. I see what you mean about that Spit windscreen...wonder what's up with that?

  5. Nice mclaren! I've just been driving one of those today, that's what I sacrificed Telford to do. Amazing cars!

  6. Ho-hum. The only reason anyone knows anything about the 2-seater 262 was Kurt Welter collected four to use for trades with the Allies at the end of the war. Despite mythology to the contrary, they never saw combat since NJG 11 was a Wilde-Sau unit, they had no operators and the radar didn't work, according to my friend Jorg Czypionka, the last survivor of the unit. That Spitfire looks horridly worse than the really nice Airfix kit in 1/72, which has all the parts in the box to do a IIa, just like the 1/48 kit does.
