Hawker Hunter J 34 / F 50, 34033 D, Acro Hunters, F18 wing Sweedish Air Force Tullinge 1957.
1/72 Revell, I modified a few things, wing leading edge and panel lines, rear fuselage, copper wire ejector handles, canopy open, added intake covers, finished in Revell and MM enamels with Future and Xtra flat over Flying Colors Aerodecals.
So...apparently you had two of these kits in the stash, huh...any others? By the way, this one looks just as good as the one posted a few days ago.
Thanks Craig, a Revell F6 and a couple of old Airfix in the stash.
A classic in Swedish dress. Don´t think I´ve seen it in 1/72 before. Looking good.
Thanks Stellan.
Always liked the Hunter, therefore I like checking them when they are built well, such as here. Nice work Allen !
Thanks Terry.
Another nice one Allen!
Thanks Greg.
Didn't they have a team on Drakens?
I haven't seen either the Revell Hunter or their Mig-21F around here. It's like they vanished.
You are thinking of the ACRO Deltas who flew Draken fighters. All NMF and blue fin with yellow text.
Yeah, I think I saw a picture of them in a Flying Review. I thought that was a neat idea, 'cause I love the plane.
Now, for Hunters, the RAF 111 used to do squadron aerobatics. Painted black, coming over the back sheds at Farnborough. That must have been something to see and hear.
The Acro Hunters disbanded at the end of 1962 and the Acro Deltas formed in 1963, both with F18 Wing. I haven't seen a Revell Hunter anywhere for quite a while !
Real nice, love the Swedish scheme.
Thanks Robert.
Sweden F-5 version of the simple conversion of NICE
Thanks P.k.
Maybe not my favourite Hunter colour scheme, but it still looks great, nice work, Allan.
Thanks George, basic scheme, not very exciting but it's an aerobatic team!
And a pic' of the under side !
