de Havilland DHC 3 Otter, A100-392, 1 Aircraft Trials Unit RAAF Woomera SA 1962.
1/72 Hobby craft, almost OOB, I added static dis-chargers, antennae and anti collision light, finished in MM enamel with Shine magic over Aussie decals from the spares box.
Beautiful! That white finish seem sflawless! Grat! 🙂
Thanks Gabor.
Hello Allan,
Great finish. It most have come straight from a big overhaul.
Looks spotless. Regards, Dirk / The Netherlands.
Thanks Dirk, the two Otters served with the RAAF from 1961 to 1967, so not very old in 1962.
Very nice! I don't think I have an Otter in my stash - something I may have to remedy soon. Nice scheme you chose for this one.
Thanks Greg, plain white looks OK !
Good-lookin' build, Allan...did all Otters have those wing fences? I don't recall noticing them before.
Thanks Craig, I guess so, they have on the box art !
Got me to thinkin' when I asked, so I did a Google [images] search for "DeHavilland Otter" and all the ones pictured had 'em, so I guess you're right - they all did. Wonder why?
Allan, that's a pretty scheme for the aircraft. And your decals are much better than what they give you! Don't get to see too many Otters built, it's a nice looking aircraft.
Thanks Bernard.
One great looking build sir!.
Thanks Robert.
Very neat work, Allan.
Thanks George.
That a great job. My compliments on that overall white finish.
Thanks Ferry, welcome aboard.
