Modelshow Goes 2018 The Netherlands

February 26, 2018 · in Show Reports · 12 · 2.5K

This was a busy weekend with 2 scale model events to attend.
First on staturday I was part of the IPMS Netherlands stand om the anual modelshow in the province of Zeeland. This show is open for the general public the see the presentations of all sorts of scalemodelling.
Many guys where also working on their models, so it's a great opportunity for visitors to find out about our fantastic hobby. A lot of chatting was going on.
Plastic scale modelling was the theme for tis year's event, but there's also a lot of Radio control, model railways, shipbuilding and 1 exhibition hall filled with Lego.
No competitions involved, just a relaxing day, and I also had the opportunity to meet Dirk Derks who was showing some models on the stand of the Modelclub from Eeklo.
All in all a nice day with some pictures to share with you all.

Cheers, Ferry.

  1. Wonderful to see such a rich variety of builds. As modelers our work is limited only by our imagination, and boy have some people in this show stretched theirs.

  2. Wow, what exceptional work as well as what fun. Thanks for sharing Ferry.

  3. Thanks for the pics, my friend...some outstanding work on display there for sure. What caught my eye was the shot of the Neptune crew posed in front of the airplane - quite the imaginative touch. Great workmanship everywhere.

  4. Very nice show...congrats!

  5. Ferry thanks for posting this delightful series of photos. All of the work displayed is high quality. The lorry with the Nieuport 17 on it is really an attention grabber. As Craig said, the crew in front of the Neptune is a great touch. Figures add to the model, and give a sense of perspective. Not a clinker in the lot! And such a wide range!

  6. An interesting and varied selection, Ferry. Thanks!
