The Northern Model Show Competition.

And now for the part you have all been waiting for, the best in classes.

The award for best in show went to the 1/32 Grumman A-6 Intruder. As soon as I saw it, I turned to my mate and said I thought that it was going to win. It stood out above everything else that day and was a deserved winner!

I entered in four classes was lucky enough to be awarded 'best in class' for both cars and motorcycles, getting the golds for my Sauber Mercedes and Kawasaki H2R. It's the first time I've ever entered in a show and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome!

It attracted quite a bit of interest from some local modelling clubs, and I made sure I promoted imodeler in the process.

Cheers folks, thanks for checking out the articles!

Cheers for posting Richard. And well done on your awards.

  3. Well done on your awards, doesn't look like you "walked away" with anything, given the quality of competition. Makes the awards better.

  8. Ditto all of the above! Thanks and congrats!

  9. extraordinary,,,, thanks for sharing...

  10. The "Dad's Army" one cracked me up. I'll have to do a diorama of my Army Reserve Calvary Troop one of these days. Very little army, or cavalry, or troop will be needed for the build. Anyone make 1/35 beer bottles?

  11. The Dad's army build is genius, and so is the DAK 'sprawling' dio! And by 'genius' I mean 'madness' in the second case. Thanks for sharing - it always provides inspiration and aspiration to see this level of work!
