Bobcat IL-28T – kit preview
I was excited to receive this kit two days ago from Lucky Hobby, since I have admired this airplane from my youth. I build in 1/48, and this has been on my “wish list” for a while. My father gave me a set of military aircraft identification cards when I was young, and this was a platform that just stuck with me.
This kit has really nice engraving detail, clear canopies, and a decent decal sheet. Hope to jump in soon, just wanted to let the group see what it looks like! I will post a build/ finished article when it is complete..

Exciting new kit indeed. Don’t think it was ever available in plastic before, at least in 48th scale. Though Jets are not my thing, the Il-28 has something in its lines that mixes the old and new way of designing airplanes after WW2. Counting on your building experience with it here Jeff, thanks for posting!

Thanks for sharing this. Their Yak-28 built up nicely and this looks like it’s molded even better.

I think we called this a “Beagle” in our Aircraft Recognition classes while I was in the Army (so many years ago … )
I SHOULD remember more … I was the person teaching the class! LoL! Sorry . . . I’ve slept since then …

I checked, it is code named “Beagle”. Great recall!

Thanks for posting Jeff. I received mine from Luck Model yesterday. I think this will go towards the top of my build pile.
