Spitfire Mk.XVI Bubbletop by Eduard
This plane was surprisingly fun to build. Origionally, I did not like the idea of the clipped wing. I thought it looked ugly. But, I bought this kit by Eduard and I really like the way it looks. I spent a little more time than normal on making sure it looked right. I did not weather it, as I like the way it looks without it. It was a fun 1/72 kit, and i may buy more in the future. Also, stay tuned for an experimental jet-powered Spitfire concept design I came up with.
Jordyn. A very nice looking Mk XVI, I have to say I have special interest in this kit being I have a few on the shelf awaiting production. It seems to me that the Mk XVI is that perfect spitfire that encompassed all the good things about the spitfire family (my apologies to all of you spitfire purist !) Well done !
Haha.
Good-lookin' build, but the clipped wings sorta detract from the iconic elliptical look of the Spitfire (but then again, that wasn't the idea, was it). Nice work.
Well Jordyn, I've recently developed a liking for the clipped-wing Spits.
They aren't for the purists, but they are still a great looking aircraft. if a little "odd."
And ... your version looks excellent. I like the clean look you left it in. It's nice to see a "new" or at least well maintained looking vehicle.
Well done!
Nice work, Jordyn.
Good looking Spit.!
