Nice work on this old chestnut. I vaguely remember this kit - from back in the days before "Tamiya fit" was a "thing."
Reminds me of the first time I ever saw an F-15, one of these "bluebirds." Was at the pylons doing photography for the 1976 Mojave Air Races and one flew over about 5,000 ft, on its way out of Edwards just to the north of us. Darn thing was hard to keep track of being that color.
I always thought that very simple scheme was one of the best the F-15 ever had. I guess the AF would disagree, since they changed it.
I remember seeing one when I was 13 years old flying into Dover Air Force Base. It was early evening in the summer and this paint scheme took on the orange pink hues of the waning sun light. At the time I thought it was the perfect camouflage for aerial combat.
Great progress and quality job, Brian! I would agree with Tom @tcinla for that colour was the best that the F-15 sported, although I also have a soft spot for the "lizzard" one (seen rarely).
Nice! It does look better in blue,
