1/32 Hobbycraft P-51A Mustang
This is 1/32 Hobbycraft P-51A Mustang with the markings of 43-6189 1st Air Commando Group in India ,1944.
Cockpit modified by Vector resin set
Main wheels are from Barracudacast
Exhaust stacks replaced with Hasegawa s P-40E parts
Corrected spinner is made by a friend from modeller community.
Wheel wells walls still incorrect but I guess I can live with these.
Paints are Gunze Sangyo acrylics.
Happy modelling
That's a trully excellent job Tolga! Everything is spot-on. This molded-on detail at the foot pedals is an eye catcher too.
All the best!
Thanks Spiros.
Detail level and quality of the Vector set is great.
Very nice build Tolga. Cockpit details are extremely realistic.
Thanks John
Quality build. Great subtle weathering.
Thanks Haslam
That's a real beauty. I love the way you get such visual interest out of monochromatic schemes - you are an artist at it!
Thank you Greg, appreciated.
Great looking Allison Mustang!
Thanks Robert
Very nice exhaust stains. Great variation in the color scheme as well.
Thanks Wayne
Great work (as usual) Tolga!
Thanks Tom.
There are at least three Allison engine Mustangs on my bucket list. I guess next one will be an A-36.
Sweet big-scale Mustang!
Thanks Rick
Tolga, very nice work. I've always been fond of the earlier Mustangs. Was the Hobbycraft kit a lot of work to make accurate, because, what you've done looks spot on?
Cheers,
Scott
Thanks Scott
This kit is an upscaled version of the Accurate Miniatures Mustangs. So detail level is not sufficient especially in the cockpit.
Again exhausts and wheels not so good.
The spinner is more pointed than the real one as on the Accurate Miniatures kits. So I have replaced it by a home made product.
And also Wheel wells walls are not accurate. Maybe in my next Allison engine Mustang I will try to fixe it.
Absolutely stunning! Love your work, Tolga.
Thanks Andrew
Excellent work Tolga - kit decals used? Everything looks great - have this kit in the pile and yours has made me keen to start mine now...
Thanks Darren
Yes kit decals are applied without problem though they are old
Good luck on your Project.
