StuG IV, Tamiya, 1/35

May 20, 2020 · in Armor · 6 · 3.1K

I have finished it about a month ago. My very first try in 1/35 scale. One of that old and simple Tamiya kits, buit out of the box with just a few minor and modest improvements. No PE, no metal or resin aftermarket parts - even the antennaes were stretched from the kit sprues.

Well, the scale is something special for the guy who build primarily 1/72 planes. It feels huge and demands lots of additional attention during paintjob and weathering, because of large even surfaces that look very dull without some extra efforts.

I didn't stick to any real prototype during this build, so I allowed myself to use the anecdotic "404" number to highlight it.
