Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Visit Post #2
Just too many photos to post and too many aircraft to see.
Showing my Dad the photos, upon see the photos of the George "Buzz" Beurling dedication my Dad insists he witnessed Beurlings Spitfire in the sky above Malta when he was a kid - he was around 10 yrs old at the time. Now the ol' man wants to go down for a visit to see things for himself.
Nice to see the Lysander project, the Nene-10 engine cutaway.
Remarkable just how small the Vampire is and then see the sheer size of the Avenger.
Great visit - and the museum is always looking for volunteers to help keep thing neat and in order, hmmmmmm.
So much to see, definitely worth a visit.
Really like the F5.
Have seen a flying Lysander in Duxford last year, it is a remarkable plane.
It was bigger in real than I expected.
Yup - first time seeing the F-5 up close, nice display.
What a nice selection of pics, George!
They do a nice job in this museum.
Thanks for "taking" us there.
Thanks Spiros, I am surprised my iPhone did not blow up with all the photos I took.
Thank you for the tour George. I especially like the sign in the lower left corner on one of the Bolingbroke pictures. . .
No problem Erik.
Great pics thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tom
Nice to see That the aircraft Are being looked after. These artefacts will be all that’s left of this heritage some day.
Thank you for sharing
It has been a while since my last visit and I was pleasantly surprised of the great condition of so many aircraft.
What I like about this museum is that several of the planes are still in flyable condition. It is definitely an enjoyable museum to visit for a few hours.
So easy to spend the day.
Especially with the booked flights, there is an outdoor cafe to view the starting and taxiing (taxying) of booked aircraft.
Thanks for sharing these great photos!
Thanks for liking the photos Robert.
Well done George, more nice pic's, thanks again !
Thanks Allan,
surprised my iPhone did not run out of power during the visit, I must have taken 500 photos. Will definitely go back with my Dad.
Cheers.
