F-14 Italeri 1/48
So, here's my next project. It is an F-14 from Italery in 1/48 scale. As a kit, it's not very accurate, but that's to be expected, because it's just a pretty old kit.
Definitely missing some riveting panels are quite simplified. As for the accuracy of the parts, I would say that except for a few things it's quite good, the main thing that didn't fit there is
transition from the nose and fuselage (the transition is behind the cockpit). Otherwise, there are a few finished details, such as: modified seats, wires in the landing gear shafts, landing gear legs, etc ..
What I have to mention is that the canopy of the cabin is modified, it is not adapted to be open, so there I finished some dashboards and a piston that keeps the glass open.
Well, I managed to paint it quite well, but it's a pretty big surface, so it's not quite perfect. Otherwise, I also used preshading, which eventually revived it quite a bit, so at least I think so.
The decals are quite thick and there are large areas on the signposts, unfortunately I had air left there, but otherwise fine, then I hjenom to woskoval and easily made a patina and thus I finished
building my F-14. Overall, I enjoyed it and learned a lot of new things, such as preshading.
Nice work on that. I don’t think that kit is that awful. It’s basic shapes are ok, a lot better then the Italeri 1/72 Tomcat.
Aaahhh yyeeaahh
Do have to say that this build looks great, Šimon .
Detailing and paintwork is very nicely done.
And yes, the surface of the F14 is rather big.
Thanks, the surface is quite dry, but you can't tell from a distance
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Good job on that model Šimon .
A little old but it can be built in a very pleasing way, your work is a clear example of that.
Thanks a lot 😀
Great job on this, Šimon.
Nice weathering!
Hmmmm... nicely done :DDD
😀
Nicely done, looks good in the Felix scheme.
