Amazon sez “Frequently bought together”

May 10, 2021 · in News · 12 · 1.5K

Got this pic from a friend who saw this at his local Barnes & Noble. And here I thought "Under The Southern Cross" wasn't coming out till Tuesday. Shows how much the author ever knows. 🙂

(BTW - "Tower of Skulls" there on the shelf below, which is my friend Rich Franks' first book of his Pacific War trilogy, is really excellent. He's the author of "Guadalcanal - the Definitive History", which really is... definitive. Lots of information in this one that was even new to me.)

  1. Hyperscale also has your newest book on the highlight Tom

  2. Loved those books. I've seen your books in my local Colorado Springs Barnes and Nobles as well.

  3. Well, I guess I'm off to the bookstore. So, if I mention that I "know" you to the cashier, do I get a bro deal? haha.

  4. I've been slogging through Fire In The Sky: The Air War in the South Pacific by Eric Bergerud, but have your Pacific Thunder ready to start as soon as I finish Bergerud. My interest has been piqued in more S. Pacific aircraft (and the history to go along with it), so I may also pick up some of your other works!

  5. Great stuff. Congrats.

  6. Bought them just last night on Amazon, Tom. Looking forward to both.

  7. Very interesting, Tom.
Going to check my local bookstore.
Though it is not very likely they sell them.
If not I will order one of your interesting books on the web.

  8. For those of you who buy any of my books, send me a PM with your address and I will send you a signed sticker you can put in the book so it is "signed by the author."

  9. I finished " I Will Run Wild" a few months ago, and I just ordered "Under The Southern Cross" (Kindle version). I am eagerly anticipating your new book, which is supposed to arrive in a few days (looks like book-release protocal wasn't honored by B&N). I recently read the wartime journal of GEN George Kenney (Commander, 5th Air Force), so I'm hoping your new book will compliment GEN Kenney's excellent account of the war in the SW Pacific.

Tom, the breadth and scope of your historical books continues to impress. Congratulations on your new release.
