BMD-1: War in the Caucasus, Georgia 2008 (1/72)

This small dio shows a russian BMD-1 airbourne fighting vehicle in the russian- georgian conflict in the south caucasus region 2008 between Russia, Georgia and the separatist states
Abchasien and south Ossetia.

The S-Model kit (PS720158) is built directly out of the box and i only added a new cover to the panorama visor of the turret.
The quality of the kit is allover very good, good fitting of the parts and nice details.
There are not many parts to assemble and the box contains two of them.

I used an early model of the BMD, but the later, improved version would be needed for this project.
However, I could only get this one.

The figures from Mig Productions are resin cast and quite fine in their quality.
The two tank crew figures are from Modelcollect and Alexminiatures.

The base is built of my own, made of hard foam, acrylic pastes static grass and various foliage.
