Panzergrenadiers of the 12th Panzer Division SS Hitlerjugend, Normandy, June 1944 Alpine Miniatures 1/35
Hello dear fellow modellers!
After a long time, I managed to finish another piece, this time it is the armored grenadiers of the Hitlerjugend division. I reached for figures from the company Alpine miniatures, for the production of the mat I used a mixture of different products (Fox Model, MaIM, Modelscene) and various natural materials. Figures are painted with Andrea Color paints. I hope you will like my creation.

It's not well-known now, but at the time most of the Hitlerjugend SS troopers who were captured or surrendered during the Normandy fighting never made it past the point of capture/surrender to a POW camp. All those moments you saw in "Band of Brothers" of surrendered Germans getting shot were based on real events. These guys were the hard core super-indoctrinated young Nazis. They were taken into the Waffen-SS at 16 after demonstrating their Nazi idealism in the Hitler Jugend. Too young to know any better.
