Type 97 Chi-Ha Japanese medium tank. Atlantis/Aurora 1/48.

Used by the Japanese during WWII and were used by Chinese post WWII. A nice basic kit by , Ex molds. I believe they got the molds by way of Monogram/Revell. I asked a gentleman from Atlantis at a long island model show about Aurora's Russian submarine molds, he said that they were destroyed.

  1. Looks perfect, Robert @roofrat
First time I saw a tank with a machine gun at the rear of the turret.
A pity those Aurora molds are destroyed, let's hope he was wrong.

  2. Looks fantastic, Robert!

  3. That’s a blast from the past, Robert! Very nice. I had no idea that kit was still available. I built one when I was a kid.

  5. Great work on this “basic” kit, Robert.

  6. Nice work and a realistic result.

I know a guy who actually has a real one of these things, and it's as simple-looking as this kit looks, which shows Aurora "got it right" long ago.

  7. Nice work Robert...brought back fond memories.
