Rust Effect with Chipping Medium
This article is part of a series:
I'd like to share with you a water-based acrylic technique that I haven't seen on this site before and I hope it will be useful to many of you. (Don't be fooled by the my nickname or the YT channel, I am a hobby model builder and this is not sponsored content.)
The technique is that you first paint the rust colors on the surface, then the rust comes out from under the final color of the model as in real life. It can also be used with a brush, but I recommend using an airbrush.
What you need: rust shades, Vallejo Chipping Medium, and the main colours of the model
Excellent technique, Daniel!
Thanks for sharing.
