USAAF 1/48th Mosquito
I recently completed kit #04555 Mosquito B Mk. IV. The kit contained some parts that were poorly molded. I contacted Revell in Germany and they mailed me the corrected pieces. Also, thanks to friend Tom Bebout for the decals and resin wheels which were not available with this kit. The only complaint I have is that it did not come with the colorized assembly instructions.
Hope you like the pictures and photos.
Great results Rob! Ive got these decals in the stash along with the plastic to build this bird. A neat scheme, and a most excellent looking build.
Thanks Andrew
That kit is really a "Mosquitoish," not a "Mosquito." If you get every resin correction part there is for that collection of scrap plastic, in the end it will still be unfixably "not right."
Nice paintwork and all else. But go get a Tamiya Mosquito next time. The Mk. IV is still out there.
Thanks for the info Tom.
Maybe he built this Revell kit because he can't afford the Tamiya kit. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to purchase those high-priced, high-end kits like Tamiya, Eduard, Arma, etc. etc. etc. I know I can't afford them. That's why I build the less expensive kits like AMT, MPC, Heller, Smer and the like. Build what your pocketbook will allow and enjoy the model making process all the same.

Nice modeling Robert, this model shows the fun you had building it.
Thanks
Great War time photos and a beautiful build. Live the history behind the aircraft.

Great work, Robert (@bsc4849). Some of these kits may have accuracy issues, but they still build into something that looks like a Mosquito. It has been one of my favorite planes since I saw a movie about Mosquitos during the war called "633 Squadron". Well done.
Thanks George.

Beautiful result, Robert @bsc4849
Looks great in US scheme, I was not aware that the US used this aircraft as well.
Thank you.
Awesome job, Robert! Looks great wearing the US markings!
Thanks Spiros
Really nice work on this Rob, I agree with my friend Spiros they do look good in U.S. markings and your finished item looks great , well done.
Thanks Neil
Great job, Robert!
Thanks Gary
Very cool - it's nice to have wartime photos of the bird you're building. I have a very old Monogram Mossie in my stash to do someday.
Robert, you did a marvelous job with this kit. Very nice, indeed (@bsc4849).
