Is there any chance you can do a “step by step” instruction for doing the wood grain? I’m just back into modelling and eventually I will have to tackle an Albatross and a Roland and I love the look of the wood grain on those.
Carlo Sette said on July 27, 2018
Hi Robert a step by step is too difficult. Sorry.
Robert Weston said on July 27, 2018
No problem.

What a wonderful model you’re doing there Carlo. I never used those wood grain decals but they sure are realistic. Obviously your wood painting skills are at least as good as the decal, because I assume those forward panels are painted, being full of hatches and metal parts that would make a decal application very hard.
Any WnW model in the hands of a skilful modeler is a joy to behold
Carlo Sette said on July 27, 2018
Hi Pedro, thanks for your comments. Yes all the model is made by paint, no decals for wood and lines. Only insigna decals was used.

Just wanted to add another thank you for sharing this – it is incredible! The thread pattern on the wings is brilliant. And the fuselage looks like it is made of wood, not a hint of plastic! Outstanding, Carlo.

Fabulous wood and linen! I’m loving that jig you’re using as well.

Really nice, Carlo.
Are the wings finished in the Aviatik linen-effect decals?
Carlo Sette said on July 27, 2018
Thank you Rob, fabric and wood are not a decals, but was paint using different tecnique to reproduce each textures

Thank you Dave.

As others have said, the fabric and wood is extremely realistic. However, I would like to know who makes those decals (being essentially lazy wherever possible).
