F-20 Tigershark + Sparrow Hasegawa 1/72
Hi to all
The model is the very old one, the only F20 in 1/72, so i will not bother explaining the plastic, because everyone know it. Model is finished on the end of previous year.
What I wanted to do is a test version with V-V Sparrow configuration. As soon as I saw photography in this configuration I was amazed that so big missiles were mounted on a relatively small plane. In addition, blue overall colour and story behind it was must for this build. So model was finished in Mercedes Blue RAL 7016 AK real colours. At the end, the totally oversized configuration, additional rails are made of styrene, the markings are laser printed, model heavy glossy varnished. I like how it looks at the end, I hope you too.
Referent pictures are attached also, Mercedes in same colour and heavy gloss appearance (picture is mirrored) π

An exceptional configuration indeed, Djordje @djordjestarcevic
Great work done on this old kit, definitely like it.
Fine build & finish. The F-20...perhaps the sleekest (sexiest) best looking post-war aircraft.
That looks great, and that glossy finish looks amazing as well. Thoes missiles definitely look huge on that little bird. It just goes to show what a versatile aircraft it really is. Nice job!
Very nice! Those Sparrows do make the F-20 look smaller...
Turned out really well. @djordjestarcevic
Nicely done Djordje, a different look !
π ... Greetings ... π :
Nice work on that model, Djordje!
Clean and sharp build and a super sheen.
An impressive load and a very nice finish.
Excellent job on this Tigershark, Djordje!
Thank you all !
Glad that you like it. Funniest part of the build was finding correct colour, After a month of search on the internet, decision was made when i read a story from the guys which painted real thing, and how they finished with Mercedes blue colour :). There was also lot of discussion that this was BMW blue... Anyway this is why i love this hobby, it is not important really if this was BMW or Mercedes origin, but exploring process...that was FUN
Nice work Djordje!
