Tamiya 1/35 Sd.Kfz.250/9
The Sd.Kfz 250 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug; 'Special vehicle') was a light armoured half-track build by DEMAG, very similar in appearance to the larger Hanomag-designed Sd.Kfz. 251.
The 250/9 leichter Schützenpanzerwagen (armoured infantry vehicle) was a reconnaissance variant with a 2 cm KwK 38 autocannon and a coaxial MG (MG 34 or MG 42) in a low, open-topped turret identical to that of the Sd.Kfz 222 armoured car.
My first armour kit with a basic interior. It was interesting to build then paint & weather partially. I can appreciate knowing some detail is there even if I can't see most of it.
This 1979 tooled kit shows its age in the details of certain things. I did not want to buy any aftermarket upgrades and wanted to keep the build mostly OOTB. I disliked the molded on tarps and tools on the fenders.. so I cut them off and filled the holes. I replaced the cutter, shovel and jerry can from my spares box. And I drilled out the gun barrels and added a fire extinguisher. After painting and the pin wash, I was really happy with how the little kit turned out.
Finished in Tamiya Dark Yellow 2 (XF89). AK Enamel washes & weathering. Completed January 2024.

Very fine built. I like these "Halbkette" (half-track).
In my opinion "Halbkette" would be the better hashtag; and you forgot an "n" in "panzerwagen".
Thank you Hans! @wimfi

Nicely done, those old Tamiya kits are not perfect, but build up nicely!
