1/72 OV-10A Bronco 'Vietnam'
I was working on this simultaneously while working on the Brazilian Skyhawk. This one will be interesting to compare to the 1/72 ICM kit which I am currently reviewing right now in a build for IPMS USA...albeit I am building the OV-10D Gulf War version of the ICM kit.
I found the Academy kit a very enjoyable build--Simple kit but fit is great even the canopy!...I added the Eduard set to the highly visible cockpit...and a few scratchbuilt items...nose pitot, aerials & various bumps.

Nicely done Steve of a really amazing little A/C. The Bronco was able to fulfill quite a few military as well as civilian roles. Very versatile A/C.
YES IT sure is Always fantasized about owning one ...and flying it about LOL
The Academy kit is quite nice simple build & is overlooked now for the ICM kit ...which has nicer detail BUT a lot more complicated in its construction. I like BOTH.
I will do a comparison when I am done with the IPMS review
Steve,
Excellent job on the still good Academy kit, Steven! Fooling the scale for sure!
Very nice Bronco, Steven @sjcorvi

Looks awesome, Steven (@sjcorvi). Several of my classmates in pilot training got assignments to OV-10s, and my T-37 instructor pilot spent a tour in Vietnam in OV-10s. Great job on a cool plane.
That is some nice work. @sjcorvi
I met the great aerobatic pilot Patty Wagstaff once. At the time she was flying the OV-10 for Cal Fire as a forward controller on wildfires. She said it was a great airplane for flying down in the weeds. Nice build Steven.
Very nicely done!
Looks great! The Bronc is one of my favs.
Thanks guys I am in the middle of the ICM review build
Will post some pics. when done for IPMS
