1/32nd Hawker Hurricane Mk.I
Here is my 1/32nd Pacific Coast Models Hawker Hurricane Mk.I that I built last year.
It has been sitting in my stash for too long and I decided it was time to build it. I really like the Hurricane. It was the work horse of the Battle of Britain. With more kills than the more famous Spitfire.
Before starting the build I remembered reading Tom Cleavers article about his build of this kit. I found his article on Modelling Madness and built my model the same way Tom made his. It's the best way to tackle this kit and made assembly of the kit so much easier.
The kit was built out of the box except for adding grab handles on the inside and outside of the sliding canopy and adding the raised nuts or fasteners, what ever they are to the inside of the upper wings near the the fuselage centre.
It's a great kit with plenty of detail and includes resin, and photo etched parts.
The model was painted throughout with Tamiya acrylic paints.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my Hurricane.
Wonderfully done Hurricane! The construction and finish are top notch!
Great job with top-tier painting.
Pac Coast Hurri is probably the best "short run" Model I ever put together.
Beautiful looking Hurricane. Thanks for sharing
That’s well done!
Excellent build.
This is a beautiful build of a wonderful aircraft, Michael @michaelwoodgate
Nice work on the added handles.
Very nicely done Hurricane.
I'm glad my map of the minefield helped, @michaelwoodgate. You've got an excellent result here.
That's a fine looking Hurricane!
Great looking classic Hurricane in the big scale. Light weathering looks perfect for Battle of Britain plane where they usually didn't last long enough to look worn out. Superb post!
Excellent Hurricane, Michael!
Thankyou gentleman for your very kind comments about my Hurricane. It makes me very happy!
Lovely Hurricane, Michael, Spitfires are great, but Hurricanes are a little more impressive.
A beauty of a Hurricane!
