1/32nd Tamiya P-51D Mustang.

March 3, 2024 · in Aviation · · 11 · 220

Here is another model I built last year. A Tamiya 1/32nd P-51D Mustang.

I built my Mustang in the markings of an aircraft flying with 77 Squadron RAAF as part of No.81 Fighter Wing based at Iwakuni, Japan in the late 1940's. Part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces.

I used Novoscale decals.

As for paints used. For the metal finish I used various Alclad shades. For the rest I used Tamiya acrylic paints.

The model was built out of the box. Except for the propeller blades, I used Redroo chisel blades. I made drop tank hoses from copper wire.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my Mustang.
