1/72 SAbre 6 'Black Tulip' Fujimi conversion
This is the 1/72 Fujimi F-86F40 kit converted to a Sabre 6. I cut the wing tips and adjusted to correct size and added sugar scoops on the ventral surface behind wings. This was a rudimentary conversion that addresses the major features of this type... wing and sugar scoops. I used the 1/48 Hasegawa kit [instructions] as a guide. I cobbled together decals from the Testors [kit #417-- Ex-Fujimi] release and various other spares to get the correct numbers. I used the basic Eduard set for this kit and employed Alclad & Gunze Super Metalics for the NM finish...
This adds to my growing 1/72 Sabre collection
Next stop maybe the SH F-86H ...with some mods!

Excellent Sabre, Steven!
A great-looking Sabre - well done!
Nice work! That’s one of the more striking Sabre schemes.
A great Sabre in German livery, Steven @sjcorvi
The nose art is done beautifully.
Well done, Steven (@sjcorvi). The NMF is really nice. I bet it was interesting getting the markings around the nose spaced correctly.
Thanks everyone!
