1/35 AFV M38 A1

Well, this was my first more ambitious project in 1/35 scale after I've became father. I did MAXXPRO in 1/72 scale, I have just to add some 3 figures to it and it it will be small vignette. But, I wanted to do something a little bit bigger. I had to put it aside for some time because of some other life changing work and professional arrangments, so finally when everything settled down, and baby comes to an age to go to the kindergarden, I managed to give myself to some serious projects. One of htem was this little Willys. But, the model itself is very little and lacks in details, so I've decided to add some aftermarket and scratch details.

I get some Masterbox figures from Vietnam war era, then I received some Mantis miniatures resin add ons, and also Tamiya's MCI rations cartons…

I assembled Willys almost with no problems, apart from some minor fit issues. Figures had to be repositioned to fit in the jeep. I had to redone some of their arms and legs. I added Mantis baseball gear, some spare ammo belts, gear, and added MCI box. As a big fan of Vietnam war, no politc attached, I really enjoy doing stuff from that theater, so the Willys was no different.

Everything was painted with acrylics and oils, figures don't have much details, so I had to paint them as good as they can be.

Completely finished modell will have some NVA fighters and small jungle scenery. Cheers and feel free to comment, best wishes!
