My 2024 Builds
Not to many this year, but I did build a new favorite, I'll just say if you need a cure for the modelling blues Tamiya's 1/48 Corsair will make you smile again! So here we go:
-
Tamiya 1/48 F4U-1A Corsair with Ventura RNZAF decals
-
1/72 CH-53E, I took an Italeri MH-53E and a Fujimi CH-53D along with a bunch of Resikit goodies and bashed together into a passable 53E.
-
Hobbyboss 1/48 Hawk 200, nice build but seems overscale although I never measured it to check. I never quite settled on markings for it.
-
Hasegawa 1/72 F-35B, still awaiting final markings and weapons...so many decals!
-
Trumpeter 1/35 LAV-25A2, almost done since I started it last week, converted to the LAVs that A Company, 4-68 Armor, 82nd Airborne now use as an interim airborne armor vehicle. This is the first part of my planned airborne tanks series with a M551 Sheridan and M10 Booker on deck. The LAV still needs some windows, decals, and light weathering-they look brand new!
-
Probably reason I only built a few in '24- my HO scale Hawaii & Pacific Railroad layout I am building in my studio.
Those are some wonderful builds, Jason @jasonvukovich
I do understand that this train layout requires quite some time, looks great.
Happy New Year.
Thanks!
Excellent models, Jason!
Happy new year!
Thanks, happy new year to you!
G’day Jason (@jasonvukovich),
Nicrly done, particularly the Corsair.
Thanks, I kinda have a thing for Aussie & Kiwi aircraft!
That Corsair is spectacular - one of my favorite Corsair models ever! Love the paint and weathering, and can't go wrong with those markings.
Nice looking builds, Jason. Congrats!
