Italeri 1/72 Mig-29 UB
Hello...
This model started so well and ended so poorly.
During construction, everything was fine, but when I started painting, problems began, not at first, but it definitely went wrong in the end. Inthe rear upper part where the natural metal heat deflector of the engines is... I used a bad silver paint and it all got sticky, and since the camouflage was already painted, I couldn't fix the area, so I
tried to make it look as good as I could.
Throughout the painting process, I also smudged the camouflage several times, even with my fingerprints.
And as if that weren't enough... Almost at the end, I stepped on the canopy,
but for the sake of the story, we can assume it was a bird strike. To top it all off, as always, not all
the decals worked correctly, so I'll have to accept the it. But well, I finished it in the end.
On the positive side, it's a kit with recessed panel lines, although it lacks a lot of detail.
Naaahhhhhh this is for fun…..after all
Despite the finishing difficulties, it looks good, I didn’t notice any obvious flaws in the photos. The paint looks very nice. I have the Italeri/Tamiya 1/72 single seat MiG-29 to build …I’m thinking of using the Soviet gray & green paint scheme on it.
Hello Jay...
It's definitely worth it, and if you add aftermarket it definitely enhances the model. The good thing is that the fit is very good."
Looks like modeling fate decided to challenge you, Rikurdin. Nevertheless, you did finish it and it looks good.
Hello Spiros.
Nicely done, despite the issues! Sometimes it's about gritting the teeth and making it to the endzone, then on to the next!
You clearly had a challenge to finish this kit, but you did it nicely, Rikurdin @rikurdin
Well done.
