Again, Something Different
This is a Hasegawa Jaguar XJR-9LM in Silk Cut markings. It is what the car guys call a curbside kit which means no engine. The secondary colors are all decals except the purple on the nose is a Humbrol color match to the purple decals.
Thanks for looking, it does have a wing on the rear.
Cool...I like it.
Very cool, I remember watching these race! Did you take the photo's at midday, there's very little shadow?
Took them on my back porch. Don't remember the time of day but I see what you mean about the shadows.
Thanks for the comment.
Al...Nice job on this car. I have been trying to get myself to start mine but so far it has not happened. Now that I've seen the job you did on yours I might have to give it a go after all.
World endurance champs years ago. Davey Jones driving.
Bloody awesome job! Very very nice!
that's a sweet little job al
Al...Well you have inspired me to bust out the Tamiya kit and go for it. What is the Humbrol paint number for the Purple color you used?
Hi Jack, Luckily I still had the tin. #68 purple. This is a flat color & will need clear coating. I have the Tamiya kit, started but not finished as usual & instructions recommend Tamiya TS-37 lavender. Don't have it here so I don't know how close it is or if still available.
Al...Thanks for the info. I sent my order off to Roll Models for both colors. I pulled a lot of detail photos of this car off Google and noticed that there was a lot of carbon fiber used on the car. I searched out a resource that provides the decals with patterns on the back side to cut the decals to match this Tamyia kit. I used SMS products before & they do make it easier than making your own out of bulk sheet. You will be happy with them.
Wow - fantastic. Great looking car.
