Sad news: RIP Burl Burlingame
I'm sure many here have met Burl Burlingame over the years. A talented modeler, superb writer and journalist, overall witty presence. Burl contracted both strains of the flu over the past two weeks and died last night in his sleep. I had just been e-mailing with him the day before about the launch of his new magazine, Pacific Monograph, which has gotten great reviews. He mentioned how bad he was feeling, and how he couldn't seem to throw this off.
Modeling has lost one of its more interesting presences.
Although I didn't "know" him, I'd seen his name (and work) over the years and was familiar with his name as being one of the foremost personalities in the modeling and journalistic world. He will be missed by many.
Sad news. Condolences to his family and friends
A legend has passed. A true Renaissance man. Sad news indeed. R.I.P
I didn't know him personally, but it's still like a punch in the gut. Like Craig said he was a great modeler and journalist. He will be missed.
