Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet Walkaround
The Me 163 has been a part of the exhibition at Gatow Luftwaffenmuseum for years, but it used to be exhibited in a separate room.
Now, it's hanging from the ceiling which creates a much more dramatic effect.
Enjoy the pictures.
Ulf: Thanks for all the great pictures. Yout walkaround pictures are of great interest to me, and to anyone interested in Luftwaffe aircraft. Thanks again.
I second this assessment...I thank you as well for your time & effort posting.
Thank you VERY much for posting these... I sincerely appreciate this.
Thanks for sharing, Ulf!
Hi Ulf. The Germans showed you can make an egg shaped aircraft fly!
These restorations are expensive but worthwhile I believe. The machines of war provide a venue for discussion. Young people can relate better to what happened when they see artefacts. The footage of ME-163 s climbing are spectacular at best. I wonder how many G’s the pilot took.
Thank you.
Bernard
Ulf - thank you - a friend just got me the Meng 163B for my coming birthday - perfect timing for me - great shots! Riding on a cannonball, indeed!
