1/72 Encore (Academy) Harvard Mk IV

October 16, 2019 · in Aviation · · 7 · 1.6K

I just completed this today. This is the boxing of the Harvard Mk IV. I painted it with MRP and Alclad (RAF High Speed Silver) paints. The markings are from the kit. I moved with wingtop nav lights to the wingtips, added ventral ID lights using MV lenses and used fabric seatbelts. The antenna was rigged with Uschi Superfine thread.

  1. I built this same kit a few years ago - yours came out great! I like those markings - red & white against the silver always stands out nicely.

  2. Very nice T-6 Geoffrey. This bird is parked in the main Portuguese AF (FAP) museum, which is located some 10 km from my doorstep.
I wasn’t aware of this Encore box, but the kit seems quite nice and proportional. I still have the Ocidental box, a bigger brother in the quarter scale to build an all blue commemorative flight of the T-6. Thanks for posting!

  5. Nice bright, clean Harvard Geoffrey, well done.

  6. Beautifully done, at first I thought it a larger scale!

  7. Beautiful build. And the markings even better 🙂 I have the 1/48 one from Ocidental built and have decals to build another one at 1/72. .
Thanks for sharing with us this fantastic build.
