For all you naval freaks out there - the battleship USS Texas (BB-35) celebrated her 100th anniversary yesterday. She's a grand old ship, and well worth the visit if you happen to be in the Houston area:

Thanks Jaime, Every time I go to Houston, I promise myself to go to see it, but haven't made it yet ! I got to see it from the road once, which really whet my appeite. (I was out-voted by the family) I enjoyed your photos. It's still on my bucket list...
Next time you're out this way, give me a call, Joe. We'll go out there and see her. She's about a half hour drive from where I live.
She'll stick around if the state of insanity known as Texas can find it in its cold little heart to raise enough taxes to rebuild her before she rusts out from under the paint job and sinks. Seriously, that's a problem.
