Operation Barbarossa...1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109F-2, 11./JG51
Built over 6 years ago.
Hasegawa kit, decals from Kagero Topcolors 19, brake lines and antenna wires added, painted with Gunze and Tamiya acrylics.
Aircraft had a standard 74/75/76 camo but was oversprayed with 70/71 in the field.
It was flown by Oberfeldwebel Heinz Klöpper of 11./JG51, Dugino in late August 1942. Klöpper was credited with 79 victories before he was KIA on November 29th 1943.
A very interesting camo, Reinhard, perfectly executed.
Looks great as always. That oversprayed camo looks neat. I like the difference from the straight-edged typical look.
Is it possible you and your dad have outproduced Messerschmitt? 🙂
Keep 'em coming.
Thanks Tom!
Almost :-D, only some hundreds short
Very good Reini! I love that over-sprayed camo too! 🙂
Great build, Reinhard.
Never new that there were so many variants in schemes.
This one also looks perfect.
Thanks John! That´s why the 109s are my dad´s favourite subjects, lots of versions, subversions, markings and camos.
