Hasegawa 1/72 P-47D Engine run up
I enjoy photographing my models just as much as I like building them. Here's an example. I shot this scene with a Nikon Coolpix 950 ($18 on eBay). This camera has excellent depth of field. Tarmac is sand paper, crew chief is from the 1958 Monogram F-105B, fuel truck also from Hasegawa and bits here and there from eBay.

Great depth of field is right. Cool composition and realistic lighting. Is that real prop blur or post production trickery?
Hi Don. I shot this on a table top with one light source. The prop is spinning with the aid of a small fan. I try to remember and use brass tubing to mount the prop into a larger tube. I don't manipulate my photos except for cleaning up dust and such. I'm old school that way.
