1/72 Hasegawa, my third F 111, started 2013, finished for the Nose Art GB 2018, more pic's and details there, celebrating 25 years of service with the RAAF.
Nice. I have followed development of this plane since it was a prototype.
Well done.
I have a question however. Does the ordinance rotate to stay in axis with the fuselage or were they rigidly mounted not looking “ right “ until swept back ?
Very beautiful. I flew the F-111A and D for eight years. We had Aussie exchange crews in our squadron (430 TFS) at Nellis AFB in 1972 while they were waiting for their jets to be delivered.
Just two notes: 1) Yes, the inboard two pylons on each side pivoted to stay streamlined with the airflow. 2) 16 degree wing is full forward and 72 degree is full aft sweep.
Cheers…
Lovely job on this Allan , super clean and tidy as usual, well done mate.
Thank you Neil.
Ditto with @neil-foster , Allan!
Truly superb!
Thanks Spiros.
Another nice Withers masterpiece.
Thank you Tom.
That’s great Allan! Very clean craftsmanship on a somewhat fiddly kit.
Thanks John, retracting the flaps is fiddly.

According to the Bill Gunston book on the F-111, the pylons pivot with the wings when they swing to keep the ordinance aligned with the fuselage.
Thank you for the clarification.
Thanks Dan.
Thanks Bernard, the two inner pylons on each wing pivot, the outer one stays in the forward sweep position.
Agree on all previous comments, Allan @kalamazoo
A true gem.
Thanks John.
Nice looking Pig*.
*anyone wondering, it is not an insult but what the RAAF called their F-111s.
Yeah, reading that the name 'Aardvark' translates to 'Earth Pig' due to similarities in the nose, I can see the why the RAAF chose that name.
Thanks George.
Thanks Dan, affectionately known as the pig.
Looks great! Good to see something from you again - seems like it's been a while...
Thanks Greg, it has.
Nice one, Allan! A real beauty. I agree with Greg.
Thanks Robert.
Looks great, Allan (@kalamazoo). F-111s are look really cool, especially in special markings like these.
Thanks George, I like anniversary markings.
Great work Alan, Sparrows and Bombs - complete coverage!
I always thought the F-111 looked like a huge delta wing when fully retracted.
Thanks George, not sparrows but sidewinders, the long wing ones are.

Thank you Tom, I have corrected my notes on the wing sweep, thanks for that.
