Airfix de Havilland Mosquito Mk. XVI 1/72
This is the new Airfix Mosquito in 72nd scale. This kit is gorgeous, not just because the details/fit, etc. is great. It's also cleverly engineered. The are parts you can use to temporarily cover the wheel bay and other parts have arrows which make sure you position them correctly. I used almost zero filler.
I will definitely get the PR version which was just released.
Airbrushed with ammo mig and ak interactive acrylics. Some panel wash by Ammo Mig. Not too much weathering/fading with the colors since these planes always look so clean on pictures.
Great Job! Nice paiting!
Thank you Lis @lis! Your build inspired me!
A superb result, Felix!
Congratulations!
Jasou Spiros @fiveten, thank you so much!
Looks great, Felix!
Hi Gary @gwskat, thanks a lot for your feedback!
Thanks for the inspiration - this looks great, and I have the kit sitting here. Good to know how it goes together. You got a superb result.
Dear Tom @tcinla, thank you very much for your kind words. Yes, i am confident you will enjoy the build -i think it's one of Airfix' best kits along with the recent Tempest.
Very nice! Well done.
Hi Greg @gkittinger, thanks a lot!
That's a fine looking Mossie!
Thank you, Chas @chasbunch!
Looks great, Felix @fxrob
Painting and weathering is nicely done.
Thank you so much, John @johnb. I love weathering but the Mossies were kept in really good shape.
The new Airfix kits mostly are gems, with very little if any filler needed. Nicely done!
Dear Robert @roofrat, i totally agree with you on the Airfix kits. They are awesome - i especially liked the Tempest.
Nice work. This is the first of these that I’ve seen built.
Thank you very much, John @j-healy. I do look forward to building the PR Version with the red fin!
Good looking job on an obviously future classic Airfix kit.
Indeed i hope that there will many more versions in the near future, George @chinesegeorge! This year's edition with the red tail got me excited too!
